Good for:

Those who want to observe the next eclipse or need in-depth information about it

How it works:

Choose the type of eclipse—solar or lunar—that you want information about. Press ‘Ok’, and you can either search for data according to year or location. Pick one of those options, and pick the year or location from a list. Press ‘Ok’, and you’ll see the details of every solar or lunar eclipse happening at that location or during the year you selected. If you have no idea what some of the information means, press ‘More’ on the bottom left to read about it.

If you’ve selected ‘Lunar’ to search for lunar eclipses on the homepage, you will only be able to search for yearly data.

The good:

There is a lot of information for both experts and people looking forward to witnessing an eclipse.

The bad:

The font on the app is small and cramped, which unfortunately may strain your eyes after a while.
