Anonymously chatting with people near your location
Upon opening the app, it will allow you to type and send a message anonymously. You can type in your message in the text box, and press the ‘Yell!’ button to send it. Or skip this step by pressing the mic button.
You’ll be able to access three chat rooms: within your city, your country, and a global chat room. Each user in the conversation is represented by an emoji. You can see how far away other users are from you, and give each message a like or dislike.
To get the latest messages, select ‘Refresh’ on the bottom right corner. To write a new message, select ‘New’ on the bottom left corner.
There is a profanity filter.
Be careful not to reveal any personal information when using this app. Kobi did not find any active moderation of the chat rooms, which makes this platform unsafe. There are also no rules and security measures to prevent scams and explicit content. Kobi suggests the GeoYell developers set an age limit and implement filters to remove harmful content to protect users.
