Fruit Slice and Dice

Lights Out

A deceptively simple puzzle game

Good for:

Those who want some mental exercise by making strategic moves

How it works:

You have a board of 25 lightbulbs; some of them are switched on, while the others are switched off. To solve the puzzle, you must switch all the lights off – but switching a lightbulb on or off will affect four other lights right next to it. For example, if you switch a lightbulb off, the surrounding lights directly beside will be switched on. This really got Kobi’s turtle head spinning!

Use the D-Pad to navigate to the lightbulb you want to switch. Your moves will be counted and you will be timed. Once you’ve switched off all the lightbulbs in the level, you may proceed to the next. You may revisit the levels you cleared by selecting the ‘Levels’ menu option on the home page.

The good:

If you like to contemplate solutions and solve puzzles, this game is for you.

The bad:

There is no ‘Undo’ button, so all moves will be counted. Though this can be a challenge to motivate some players, Kobi thought it would be nice to have the option to hide the move counter and timer to make it less stressful for others!
