Good for:

Picking up any skill under the sun

How it works:

wikiHow is a collection of humanity’s knowledge represented in cartoon styled how-to guides, from the most useful (how to treat a wound, how to access the internet) to the most ridiculous (how to convince your friends to buy you a llama).

The good:

The app is easily navigated and very intuitive. Besides featured how-to articles, there are categories such as arts and entertainment, cars, and finance and business.

The articles themselves are even easier to navigate and intuitively designed, due to the use of graphics to illustrate steps in the guides.

The bad:

Nothing. But if you don’t find peculiar skills and articles about acquiring them interesting, you might give this a miss.
