Good for:

Experienced players who want to play the game offline.

How it works:

You’ll start with an 8×8 grid. Use the D-pad to navigate the grid and the mic button to colour a tile blue or occupy it with a black shape. The blue represents water, the black shapes represent ship parts. To solve the puzzle, you must guess where the ships are hidden correctly. There’ll be numbers at one end of every row and column representing the number of ship parts, and some occupied tiles to help you.

There are four sizes of ships in the puzzle, listed as icons to the right of the grid. The smallest ship appears as a black circle and occupies one tile. The largest ship appears as an oblong. Fill up the grid with water tiles and ship parts. At any time, you can check your puzzle for mistakes by selecting ‘Menu’ on the bottom right, then ‘Validate puzzle’.

The good:

People who have played this game before can now enjoy it offline.

The bad:

There isn’t a tutorial, so the different shapes on the board can be confusing for those completely new to the game.
