Good for:

Home cooks who’ve run out of ideas

How it works:

How many of us have dreaded thinking of what to cook during the pandemic? This app boasts over 3,000 recipes, from entrees to desserts and beverages. Ignoring some of the typos (a roast beef with cabbage stew listed carrots, not cabbage) and too-brief instructions, the app is likely to inspire some ideas of what to cook next. Tip: try out different words for ingredients that you want to cook (e.g., typing “shrimp” and “prawn” will give different results).

The good:

A massive variety of recipes.

The bad:

Some recipes seem incomplete or too briefly explained.
